Where we run

Out of Port Clinton and Lorain, Ohio. We scout from Maumee Bay in Toledo to Cleveland daily.

Trip windows

AM 6:00–11:00 or PM 1:00–5:00 (5 hours AM / 4 hours PM, or until limit reached — whichever comes first).

Flying in?

Travel logistics — the short version.

Fly into Cleveland Hopkins (CLE) for the most direct flights — ~45 min to Port Clinton. Toledo Express (TOL) is the closer alternate at ~30 min, but with fewer routes. Stay in Port Clinton — Country Inn & Suites or Sleep Inn are walkable to launch areas. We confirm the exact launch ramp the day before based on weather, wind, and where the birds or fish were the night before.

Trip Policies

Weather cancellation

****We make all weather cancellations the morning of the trip. If we cancel your trip we will reschedule you for the following season or you may choose from available dates for the current season. It is the captain's right to cancel your trip for weather or safety concerns at any time during the trip as the client's safety is our number one priority. If this occurs a reschedule is not eligible once the boat is taken off the trailer. Clients are responsible for their birds/fish and being properly licensed upon showing up for the trip.****

Trip ends at limit

If we hit the daily bag limit before the trip-window time is up, the trip is done. Daily limits are set by Ohio DNR and federal regulations and are non-negotiable. This is included in what you sign before boarding.

Walleye: keep what you catch

Lake Erie walleye brought up from depth experience barotrauma and cannot survive release. We keep what we catch — that's the responsible call for the ecosystem. Bring a cooler.
