Lake Erie Fishing Report — Spoons + Jet Divers Producing Limits

Quick summary: Made the transition from crankbaits to Jr Streak spoons with jet divers this week. Lake Erie walleyes are hungry with warm weather, calm seas. Limit catches in a few short hours.

Conditions

Beautiful week on Lake Erie. Wind under 10 mph most days, water temps climbing through the low 60s, and the walleye are fired up on the warm-water transition. The lake is fishable every day this week.

What’s working

This is the transition week. Crankbaits that worked last week are slowing down. Spoons are taking over:

Looking ahead

Forecast holds calm into next week. Water temps should hit 65°F by Friday, which will push fish deeper. Crawler harnesses and Erie Dearies will come into the rotation by next weekend.
