Lake Erie Walleye Fishing Charter - Perch Too!

Huckeye Charters specializes in walleye and perch charters on Lake Erie. We typically run our charters out of Port Clinton, Catawba and Huron Ohio. In the fall when waterfowl start their migration south we move to guide trips where we specialize in lake Erie diver duck hunting in the Maumee Bay area. 


The western basin and the lake Erie island region of lake Erie is a world renowned walleye and perch fishery. In the spring we start fishing for walleye on the reefs in the area. This is a great time of year to land a trophy size walleye with many fish ohio walleyes caught this time of year. In the summer months the fish tend to migrate a bit east but the fishing stays great with the potential to catch many of the eating sized walleye. In the fall the perch bite picks up. The current limit on perch is 30 per person so you you will have a lot of action. Perch fishing is a great way to introduce children into sportfishing.

Spring Walleye Fishing ( Ice out- May 15th ) Anglers have their choice to chase their trophy walleye when trolling or if they would like to try their hand at jigging the males up on the reefs in the western basin. Combo trips are available.


Summer Fishing/ Fall Fishing (May 15th - Ice up) Anglers choice to troll for walleye in the western basin and central basins of Lake Erie or to target perch. Combo trips are available.


What's Required:

  • Resident or non-resident fishing licenses
  • Dramamine
  • Plenty of food and snacks
  • Dress for the weather highly recommend to have waterproof clothes
  • Cooler with ice to take your fish home
  • Sunscreen as needed

Our boats have plenty of storage to being whatever you may need. Please bring enough clothes to be comfortable in the conditions.
